The Scott High School Marching Highlanders delivered a strong performance on Saturday, September 20, at the Clinch River Classic band competition. The group represented the Highlander Nation with pride for their precision and spirit. A special highlight of the day came from Color Guard Captain Emmaleigh Sage Wood, who captured 1st place in the Class 2A Color Guard division, showcasing her leadership and talent on the field.

Little Highlander Cheerleaders Perform at Halftime

The SHS Little Highlander Cheerleaders had the largest attendance to date for their annual cheer camp! There were over 100 cheerleaders in attendance this year! The Little Highlanders rocked their “9 to 5” performance during the halftime of the Scott High vs. Austin East football game. They must have been good luck because they cheered the Highlanders on to a victory against the Roadrunners which was the first one in over twenty years!

Scott Defeats AE for First Time in 28 Years

The Scott High Highlanders snapped a 28-year drought against Austin-East with a decisive 42–6 victory Friday night, improving to 3–0 on the season. The defense set the tone, highlighted by Player of the Game Micah Boles, who recorded two interceptions, two forced fumbles, and multiple key pass break-ups. In the trenches, Jayden Parra earned Lineman of the Game honors for a crucial block that helped set up an early touchdown drive. Pregame festivities honored childhood cancer fighters Emma Hughett and Jolee Manis, while halftime featured a spirited performance from the Little Cheer Highlanders.
