For the first time since 1995, Scott High School will begin offering a new sport.
In the Fall of 2023, students at SHS will be able to compete on the school’s first-ever wrestling team. This sport will be fully sanctioned by the TSSAA, and we will compete in Region 2 with Anderson County, Claiborne County, Clinton, Gibbs, Carter, Fulton, Northview Academy, Pigeon Forge, Seymour, and Union County.
In addition, there are over thirty schools in our immediate area that also offer wrestling. The two closest programs are York Institute and McCreary County, Ky.
Important things to know:
• Wrestling is a co-ed sport
• There are 26 weight classes to allow for fair competition
• Our wrestlers will compete in district, regional, sectional, and state tournaments
• Wrestling season runs from November 1st through late February.
