HOSA

What is HOSA?  HOSA is a national organization that engages students who are interested in a future in health care or students who just love to compete!  We have a school chapter, a regional chapter, and a state chapter as wellWe do community service, competitions (the super-fun stuff), and students can even earn scholarships to college with HOSAAnd yes, active participation in HOSA looks great on a college application.

What is required of me to join?  First, you have to be in good standing with the school.  HOSA will not accept students who are failing multiple subjects or who have behavior issuesHOSA has many opportunities for off-campus trips, and only students who deserve these privileges will be included.  Second, you have to be an active member.  HOSA is not for students who do not want to participate.

How can I participate in HOSA?  There are 4 ways, and you must choose at least 2, but preferably 3First, you can help fundraiseWe have different opportunities. Second, you can competeHOSA hosts regional and state and national competitions each year, and there are multiple ways to compete (and not all of them require public speaking, so relax!)  There are individual competitions and group competitions, if you choose to compete, you MUST also participate in fundraisingThe third way you can participate is through community service. We will hopefully have opportunities that we will be discussing with you soon.
